My favourite building in Barton

Which is your favourite building in Barton?

Draw the building, or a significant part of it, and enter your drawing for a chance to win one of two prizes in each of three age groups:

  • under 8
  • 8 - 11
  • 12-14

First prize: £15 token.
Second prize: a set of art materials.

Drawings should be in black and white using heavy pencil, felt-tip, charcoal or similar so that it can be easily photocopied. A small part or parts of the building will be accepted.

Entries can be handed in at the Barton Town Council Office in the Assembly Rooms, Queen Street or posted/handed in to the Old Boathouse, Waterside Road, Barton on Humber, DN18 5BD.

Please explain in a few words why the building you have chosen is special to you and clearly identify the building by name or location.

The closing date is 30 June 2008.

Winners will be notified shortly afterwards and invited to receive their prize at the Civic Society’s Annual general Meeting on the 18th July at the Assembly Rooms. For more details please telephone 01652 660445 or visit the Civic Society’s website www.bartoncivicsociety.co.uk.
